The Writer’s Fall Opus is an annual fundraiser for the Creative Writing Program at the University of Montana. This unique event features an incredible auction with items ranging from art to experiences to spirits. We also host a one-of-a-kind tasting featuring fine libations, including scotch and wine, paired with delicious food from our friends at River & Range Catering.
Proceeds from this event support the Creative Writing Department in several ways:
- Annual Opus Scholarships.
- Funding for visiting writers to enhance program offerings.
- Supporting The Oval undergraduate literary magazine, enabling students to gain hands-on editing and publishing experience.
- Supporting the Book Arts Program center of learning at UM.
The event is sponsored by friends of the Creative Writing Department.
